took my guitar to the sand late last night and just played
and i got what i craved, the applause of the waves

Sorrow Turned To Smile When I Realized That Nothing Really Matters But Love.
all you need is love. i thought i was the first person who ever wrote that but it turns out john lennon had me beat. good man right there. good man right here. cigarettes burn and turn to ash in the middle of the night. i am the ashes of your lucky cigarette. the one you longed to smoke. the one you forgot about when you bought your next pack. someone called me a god tonight. i sang a song and they made me smile when i was done. it's funny. you put a person on a stage and it doesn't matter. i can't say i'm not good looking but still you wouldn't stop me on the street and say "oh my god" if i didn't do that...i sing my heart out and you give me yours...i guess that's a fair trade...tonight i smile as i fall asleep and i hope you do the same...you told me of your soul but you forgot to tell your name...

and then one night he went into his own little world and never really came back out of it. you could only wonder where he was. what he was doing. your best bet was to look in his eyes and you'd either see happiness or sadness. because that's what this world comes down to. there is only happy and sad. everything else is an adjective.
speak of a life worth living if you want to. you're just wasting your time and the stars are burning out. you need to take time out for yourself. roses are so beautiful and they can make you bleed. there is no point to this story but still you will read.

this is my favorite part of it all ... the whole thing was absolutely wonderful ... very honest, very revealing ~ but also guarded, like you didn't trust all your secrets to be revealed ... perhaps as you write further, you will reveal things one by one ... i'm not sure ... .. ... but we really do have more in common than i thought ... thank you for letting me read it ...

i love it when it just comes out of nowhere...
i was nothing without dreams
above were stars too far to shine on me
but bright enough to tease
and make me bleed
and bleed i did for these
a knife inside my hands
a life that no one really understands
a smile here, a teardrop there
a whispered word ignored, no cares
no heart, it went away, it broke, it prayed
it choked, could not be saved
it left and so did i to clouds
too high to ever come back down
such wings are forged in hurt
when tears hit dirt it turns to mud
i made them up of what i wanted: love
and now i sit and wait above

... the ocean is quite an exquisite site ... but i believe love will last longer than the ocean ... forgive me for putting my faith in love ... i have lost my faith in so much else, and i know that love exists as long as i have it in me to give ... not all feel your pain ... pain is nonexistent for some ... for others, it is our way of life ... without the pain, where is the meaning? ... the pain has been there for so long ... what have you to be envious of, when you have such power over words?

the ditch that i had to climb out of
life is a bitch and she's quick, she can out run
your happiness faster than happiness ever is found
and you smile no more
when you're back on the ground
what to do, what to say, when to sleep, when to pray
when to wish that the whole world would just go away
when it hurts i just think of the beach
and that's when my struggle gives way to my peace

alright so i've been gettin' back into that rap again, but when i say rap know it's not that bullshit that you turn off immediately, i wrote these lyrics over a raekwon beat called "jury", it's piano and it's so fuckin beautiful and i love the song so much and i've been fiending for it, but i couldn't find the cd, but the beat is forever in my head so as im waiting for it to download i write this which goes to the beat exactly...

i love it when girls say that guys are stupid..."why can't i find a good guy?"...bullshit!..ha...you're all lost...good luck to you...this is a poem about second place, maybe after you read this you'll realize what you've done to so many good guys...

The forests were on fire -

wreathed their necks with their hands
like bouquets of roses
People ran to the shelters -
he said his wife had hair

Covered by one blanket
they whispered shameless words
the litany of those who love
When it got very bad
they leapt into each other's eyes

So firmly they did not feel the flames
when they came up to the eyelashes
To the end they were brave
