Pure Emotion

heaven is not far away so i've heard
so they say, so i've written in every last word
and today was a very good day i would say
felt the ocean, moved all of the world from my way

took my guitar to the sand late last night and just played
and i got what i craved, the applause of the waves
oh, the moon, how i wish that your eyes could have seen it
with words that i use i don't think you'd believe it

freedom does last a few minutes, my friend
you can taste it and oh, you can taste it again
there is love in a heart, there is me in the ocean
these are but one and the same, pure emotion

... heart wrenching and beautiful ... i miss the ocean every day ... have since i was ten ... and you made the longing that much stronger with these words of yours ... .. ...
