My Prayer to God

all one needs to know in this life...


i was born to die
i know that life is just a test
and i will do what i believe is right
i know that i am blessed

with eyes that see the truth
my heart is pure enough to see
that weakened souls depend on rules
and laws that don't apply to me

and they will try to hold me down
but i will never break
and i will fight for my own heart
and my own heart they'll never take

i know that i am honest with myself
so who are you
to tell me i can't do the things
that i know i must do?

i won't shed tears or change my ways
it's fine if you reject me
god, i'll do the things i must
i beg you, please, respect me
